Oops
Except when I'm not. I know, I know.
When I was talking about the Banks in my last post, and the $20 billion chinese bailout, I said that it was JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan.
As was pointed out to me, these are the same Bank and they merged a few years ago. So I went back and re-checked.
The Banks involved in the bailout were Morgan Stanley and Citigroup - not JP Morgan.
That said, I don't think it affects the point I was trying to make - at least I hope not.
It's a good job I don't work for the Financial Times. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and hang my head in shame for wee while.
Many many thanks to Cockle for spotting it and putting me straight.
